Introducing Tamara, our new Play Therapist for kids ages 3-8 and their parents 😍

We are so lucky to have Tamara join our collective! They work exclusively with children ages 3-8 and also provide support for parents. And YES! They are accepting new clients now! ❤️

Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in working with children, adults, and families. I specialize in providing developmentally responsive counseling services for young children using Child-Centered Play Therapy. I also enjoy supporting parents and caregivers in their relationships with their children using Child Parent Relationship Training. I work with:

  • Children ages 3-8
  • Developmental and adjustment challenges
  • Emotional and behavioral regulation
  • Learning difficulties and self-esteem
  • Anxiety
  • Life transitions
  • LGBTQ individuals and families

In addition to supporting children and families, I also serve as an adjunct professor for a master’s counseling program.

Outside of my work as a counselor, I enjoy hiking, exploring tide pools on the Oregon coast, and spending time with my loved ones. 🌻

In Case you missed it...

Introducing Jenn, our Walk and Talk Therapist for Parents!

👍 Wait a therapist who helps parents by getting us outside, moving our bodies, AND processing the unique stressors that come with parenting? YES PLEASE! We are thrilled to introduce Jenn Mohn to all of you! Jenn will be providing nature-based walk and talk therapy to parents at the THPRD Nature trails in Beaverton!

Jenn believes that all clients can heal and grow within safe, connected, and healthy relationships. When working with Jenn, clients will be supported by nature and movement and will be empowered to tap into their strengths and inner wisdom to learn how to live a more resilient, authentic life.

Currently, Jenn uses a client-centered, strengths-based, walk-and-talk therapy approach with her individual adult clients, meaning that sessions are most often held outside while walking together on a local nature trail. Being in nature is scientifically proven to reduce stress, increase emotional regulation, and promotes a sense of awe and well-being.
